Mark Pickerel et ses reprises

Mark Pickerel n’est pas un perdreau de l’année. Batteur des Screaming Trees à la fin des années 80, Pickerel a vécu l’hystérie médiatique du début des années 90 et a même collaboré avec Kurt Cobain le temps de l’enregistrement des chansons de The Jury, le projet (avorté) avec Mark Lanegan.
Mark Pickerel a donc de la bouteille. C’est donc assez logique que ses reprises de Townes Van Zandt et de Lucinda Williams ou de Terry Allen soient du meilleur tonneau.
Jouées avec des musiciens de la scène de Seattle, les reprises de ce disque fort sympathique ont été enregistrées avec le carré d’as de Seattle : Jack Endino, Hunter Lea, Johnny Sangster et Martin Feveyear.
