Suivre la discographie de Paul Weller est un sport de haut niveau. Ultra productif, le Modfather et ses 63 ans sont toujours plus vifs qu’une dizaine de groupes récemment formés. Weller écrit, Weller écrit souvent très bien mais Weller va parfois trop vite.
Fat Pop (Volume 1), disque de confinement enregistré en 2020 avec l’équipe habituelle, prend le contre-pied de True Meaning et donne un coup de vieux à On Sunset. Comme le montre la pochette du disque, Weller est en roue libre et a écrit des petites merveilles que Noel Gallagher devrait s’empresser de reprendre.
